Persephone Dance Company is a San Jose, CA based Improvisational Tribal Style Bellydance troupe comprised of 4 of the 5 former members of Tribal Moon. Upon the move of Tribal Moon director, Kathy Stahlman, troupe members continued dancing, evolving and celebrating under the new name of Persephone Dance Company. Dancers share a common vocabulary of movements and cues. Any dancer may take the lead and her follow dancers must read her movement cues allowing for 100% improvisational performance. Art in the making.
